Community Commitment & Community Participation

Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up days

Saturday, April 18 was our first Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up day for the 2009 season. The Committee hopes to have three more clean-up days during the year. Many, many thanks to Sue Crane, Cheryl Hilbrandt and her son (James) and family friend, Sue McCann, Quinn O'Callahan (Bruce Williams' grandson), Lisa Pullaro, David Seymour, Ben Traudt, Dick Wambach and  Bruce Williams. We were able to cover both sides of the highway in our 1.5 mile segment in about an hour and a half. The weather was great and the orange vests and hard hats made quite the fashion statement. Thanks again to today's crew! Your help and good humor are very much appreciated.
